This project at the Australian Wildlife Centre, Healesville Sanctuary included the major redevelopment of an existing animal hospital.
Key aspects of the Irwinconsult design were the use of high ventilation rates for odour control, prevention of cross contamination in isolation wards and containment of airborne animal fur. The new design provides larger facilities for consulting suites, treatment zone, isolation and intensive care wards, pharmacy, quarantine, holding areas and exercise yards. Separate facilities are provided for dogs and cats.
