The Baxter Healthcare Mix Tank Room houses the main processing tanks for the production of intravenous drip medications, which support the hospital industry throughout Australia. This complex project involved replacing the old Mix Room with a new Intravenous Mix Tank facility over two levels with associated storage and staging areas. The new system involves the use of large-scale clean room air handling equipment serving an 1150m² Grace C cleanroom used to prepare product for filling of IV drip bags. Infrastructure systems included chilled water, heating hot water, steam and condensate and cleanroom air handling systems.
