This project saw the development of an environmental design brief and its implementation during the design and construction of Australia’s largest hotel, the $300 million Crown Metropol development.

One of Irwinconsult’s key initiatives was the implementation of a cogeneration system, which significantly reduces the development’s greenhouse impact by generating low carbon electricity. Associated ‘waste’ heat was also used to provide domestic hot water and pool heating.
