The Dandenong Hospital, Mental Health Facility is part of the $89 million redevelopment of Dandenong Hospital – Stage 3.
Irwinconsult was responsible for the structural and civil design of the project which included a single storey building with rooftop parking, and the new Emergency Department that will eventually expand to 4 storeys with interconnections into the main hospital building. The new Mental Health Facility consists of 4 new buildings to house Adult Acute, Aged Acute and Secure Units, plus a two-storey Administration, Training and Research building. We were also responsible for civil and structural input for the last Dandenong Hospital Master Plan, and have carried out extensive investigations of the older hospital buildings and infrastructure.
