The Challenge/ Construct a new central hub for the school community to link school operations, provide modern facilities for students, staff and administration and include a new Learning Resource Centre.

Our Solution/ The Mandeville Centre is a 4,400m2 building comprising three levels built above a basement carpark. Ground level includes the school reception, administration offices and staff centre with a new Learning Resource Centre located above on Level 1. A new Year 12 centre is located above on Level 2. Additional facilities include a Lecture Theatre accessible from the main entry and informal learning spaces distributed throughout the building. The building was designed with a low energy and sustainable philosophy employing LED lighting, VRF air conditioning and rainwater collection. Connections have been provided internally using atriums to link internal spaces fostering communication and community spirit. The new Centre has also been made a focal point for the school by the inclusion of the new eastern courtyard and canopy creating a perfect meeting, touch down or recreation space.
