The Geelong Library and Heritage Centre has recently reached a key project milestone with the completion of the dome roof structural steelwork. The project is progressing well with the installation of the unique glass reinforced concrete (GRC) façade panels well on its way, and the installation of the roof panels and northern façade nearing completion.
With Irwinconsult providing structural and civil engineering services, the building pushes the boundaries of conventional building techniques.
The project represents a distinct departure from the conventional library and Irwinconsult is proud to be involved in this landmark project. Please stay tuned for a full case study in the near future.
