The commencement to 2016 saw an unseasonably dry ‘wet season’ for Darwin and as a result the building works at the Palmerston Regional Hospital have been full steam ahead.

Excitement is growing as the building continues to rise up from the ground.  Works have been carried out to complete the civil pipeworks and as construction continues water spraying has been utilised to reduce the trade mark layer of red NT dust on the surrounding environment. Within the rich red landscape protrudes the foundation of the hospital and its 266 columns for the ground floor.

As the column pouring for the ground floor nears completion, a clearer picture of the layout is emerging and the true scale and size of the overall project is becoming evident.
